Buyout Investment Objectives

Opus8 seeks platform companies in the BPO (business process outsourcing) and nutraceuticals industries with upside potential via off-shoring labor, improving CRM (customer acquisition, retention and lifetime value), adding management talent, business process outsourcing & reengineering, and the sale/licensing of intellectual and other assets. We will pursue growth via acquisition. Our desire is to build lasting businesses. 10 year exit horizon.

Buyout Criteria

Industries: Nutraceuticals, Business Process Outsourcing

Location: United States (East Coast preferred)

Revenues: $5 million+ in annual revenues (nutraceuticals)

               $20 million+ in annual revenues (BPO and business services)

Profitability: Target must be profitable; unprofitable companies will be considered on a limited case-by-case basis

Customer concentration: Largest customer no more than 15% of total revenues; Top 10 no more than 40% of total revenues.

Source of funds: Internal resources, Private equity and mezzanine debt; seller financing. Past providers include Bank of America and Allied Capital Corp.
